this piece never fails to give me chills. the lyrics, the orchestration, the *depth* of the music is unspeakably beautiful. I love that in this day and age, through pieces like this, we are giving a stage to other languages and cultures, broadening the traditional ideas of classical music which focused on only a few European languages. even without understanding the language of this piece, its emotion and joy are easily felt, by any person in the world. extremely well-written and performed, thank you for posting this on youtube for all to experience for free <3

I first heard this piece of art after suffering a traumatic brain injury. I remember a roommate who was hospitalized with me, and I realized the beauty of life when I saw him dance with joy after a nurse told him he could take a shower. He danced and sang: "I'm going to bathe, I'm going to bathe!" It was something so simple, but his eyes sparkled with joy. He must have been about 60 years old and his kidneys weren't working, and yet he prostrated himself to joy. I never saw him again, but he left this gift stored in my heart, and every time I listen to this wonderful concert, tears of joy adorn my face and my spirit becomes lighter, because it reminds me of the joy and all the spirituality that surrounds us. . Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful message and allowing yourself to be a bridge of light.

I thought that's Luo...wow Nilotic languages are so similar I'll one day fund more research into them. No wonder I was questioning my knowledge of Luo cause I didn't get some of the words/some were being used strangely.

This touched me in ways I cannot describe. This song found me, was an outlet to emotions stored that I did not know how to express. But this piece just took them out, brought them out. I cried and wasn't sure for whom, for what. It felt like grieve and freedom.
